National Survey on Harassment and Violence at Work in Canada: make your voice heard

Violence and harassment are too often present in workplaces. We must tackle this social problem in order to find concrete solutions for workers.

That is why the Canadian Labour Congress is working with the University of Toronto and the Centre for Research & Education on Violence Against Women & Children (CREVAWC) at Western University to launch a national study on workers’ experiences with sexual violence and harassment in the workplace.

This national study is a first in Canada. The results of this study will be used to develop policy and education initiatives on sexual harassment and violence at work.

Everyone has the right to a safe workplace. We therefore encourage all PSAC members to take part in this national study, whether or not they have experienced or witnessed workplace violence or harassment.

How to participate

If you are 18 years of age or older and have been employed in the past 12 months, we encourage you to participate in the study.

All you need to do is complete the online survey, which will take you approximately 10 to 15 minutes. Your participation will be confidential and anonymous.

The survey closes on April 21, 2021.
