Call Out: PSAC BC Racially Visible Regional Conference – Organizing Committee

PSAC-BC is planning on holding a Racially Visible Regional Conference in the Spring of 2016 in Vancouver! 
 
We are currently seeking members who are willing to play an important role in the organizing of this conference by providing input from a regional perspective.  The Organizing Committee will work closely with Jennifer Chieh Ho, PSAC-BC Racially Visible Equity Coordinator, and Monica Urrutia, PSAC Regional Representative, and will be expected to provide their services in the lead up to, during, and after the conference.

We are looking for
  • PSAC-BC Racially Visible member – if you haven’t done so in the past, you can self-identify on-line at http://psacbc.com/psac-confidential-self-identification-form  
  • Good communication and organizational skills
  • Willing to commit to the project both pre and post conference.
  • Former organizing experience an asset
Please note: Committee meetings will normally be held by teleconference.  Every attempt will be made to hold the meeting during evenings and/or weekends.
 
We ask that you confirm your availability and tell us if you have what we’re looking for.  Additionally, please outline any issues you would like to see covered at the conference and how we could incorporate your ideas into the conference.
