The BC government is undertaking a formal and independent review of the workers' compensation system. This review will provide recommendations back to government on ways to improve the current system to better support injured workers and to increase the confidence of workers and employers in the system. The review is being led by retired labour lawyer Janet Patterson, who was appointed in April 2019.
The review will assess:
PSAC BC encourages all members to share their views and take part in the public engagement. There are several ways to do this, including submitting written feedback online and in person at public hearings scheduled between June 14 and July 19 in the following communities:
