IMP Arbitration Update

Members of Local 21018 work hard at the IMP Group facility in Comox helping keep people safe by maintaining and repairing search and rescue aircraft, yet they have been without a contract for over a year. The employer continually dragged their feet and delayed the negotiation process.

The Union filed for binding arbitration in 2019 and at a virtual hearing last week the PSAC-UNDE bargaining team presented their case. The team is hopeful that the arbitrator will issue a positive decision that addresses workplace concerns and delivers a fair wage increase.
