Prince George, BC– The Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC) and the Prince George Airport Authority (PGAA) are pleased to announce a new collective agreement has been ratified by both parties.
Prince George Airport Authority President and CEO John Gibson says “the PGAA and our local staff have a great working relationship and that is why we were able to get an agreement prior to the expiry of the existing agreement.”
The three-year contract, which expires March 31 2016, provides labour stability past the 2015 Canada Winter Games which are being hosted in our city. The new agreement provides across the board wage increases of 2.5% per year and adds Family Day to the list of designated paid holidays.
“I’d like to thank the bargaining team for their work on behalf of PSAC members at the airport,” said Bob Jackson, PSAC Regional Executive Vice President for BC, “the near unanimous endorsement of the agreement by our members confirms their confidence in the bargaining team and in our union.”
PSAC represents administrative staff and air-side maintenance and operations workers at Prince George Airport.
