The Surrey Fusion Festival was held on July 16 & 17, 2011 at Holland Park in Surrey. Despite the rain and mud, we had many people come by our booth and play the Spot the Public Service game. It was a wonderful event, a celebration of diversity in the community, incredible foods and cultural displays from thirty five countries of the world, four different stages presenting music and dance from all corners of the world. The main stage had recording artists such as Bedouin Soundclash, Jay Sean, Krystle Dos Santos and other recording artists. The traffic was down from last year considerably, but it was still an opportunity to connect with the public about Public Services and their value to Canadians.
We had a great group of volunteers come out and help including Kay Sinclair, Jennifer Ho, Tracy Shudo, Allison Crowell, Laurie Ewing and our REVP Bob Jackson.
