PSAC members in the Okanagan rocked on March 2, 2013 as union members from Kamloops, Kelowna, Nelson, Vernon & Westbank all came together for the day to participate in an interactive workshop on Building Communities & Workplace Bullying.
PSAC Regional Representative Regina Brennan opened the day with a welcome and introduction to the PSAC "We Are All Affected" campaign against federal cuts. Guest presenters were Dr. Gary Namie on Workplace Bullying and Deborah Littman on Building Communities.
- Dr Gary Namie of the Workplace Bullying Institute gave an excellent presentation - for more information about his organization, visit www.workplacebullying.org
- Deborah Littman came up from Vancouver to talk about her work with the Metro Vancouver Alliance, building community activism - see www.iafnw.org/canada/metrovancouveralliance for more on the MVA.
The event was organized and sponsored by the PSAC BC Regional Council, the Okanagan Area Council and Human Rights and Women's Committees.
Great work by PSAC members in the interior!
