BRUSH (H&S) Committee

The BRUSH (BC Region Union Safety & Health) Committee is comprised of Health & Safety activists from across BritishColumbia and is chaired by the Health & Safety Coordinator of the B.C.Regional Council.The committee is devoted to the inclusion, promotion of, and education around workplace Health & Safety. The committee meets regularly to discuss these issues.

The grave impact of COVID-19 on PSAC members and workers across Canada strengthens our resolve and fight for safe and healthy conditions in the workplace.

PSAC BC is holding a webinar that aims to provide a general overview of worker’s health and safety rights during the COVID-19 pandemic. The information provided will apply to all federally or provincially regulated workers, all PSAC BC members are welcome. Theres one scheduled for April 14 starting at 6PM and one April 15 at noon. The BC Federation of Labour is hiring 3 Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) facilitator coordinators to work in the BCFED OHS Centre. This is a great opportunity for people who have OHS facilitating experience in subject areas, such as OHS committees, mental health, bullying and harassment, OHS supervisor training and /or building a psychologically healthy workplace. PSAC statement on the Day of Mourning, April 28, 2018 On April 28, the Day of Mourning, we remember all those who have been killed or injured because of their work. Today we also commit to protect the living and ensure that we can prevent, and actively address, harassment and violence in the workplace.
