On Friday, June 15, the Victoria Area Council held their annual Slow Pitch Tournament as a member-planned and organized event during the National Public Service Week. The tournament was a huge success with around 60 members participating with along with cheering family members. There were four team that participated from UTE, UTE/PIPSC, UNDE/CEIU and GSU.
To start the day off, breakfast was served at the field, followed by the round robin tournament and BBQ lunch. Prizes were also drawn throughout the day. Members from as far as way as Nanaimo drove in to particpate in the event, and a great day was had by all.
A big thanks to the Victoria Area Council, the Victoria Regional Office staff and several other Vancouver Island members for all their hard work in organizing the event.
