PSAC BC Regional Council devotes funding to anti-racism training

PSAC BC is committed to fighting racism – in the workplaces we represent, within our own union and in society at large.

At the last meeting held via conference call the PSAC BC Regional Council put forward and unanimously passed a motion calling for PSAC BC to

Allocate $1000 towards the cost of hiring an organization, or to be used as an honorarium, to deliver anti-racism training open to all PSAC BC members via a recorded webinar that can subsequently be shared online.

We encourage all PSAC members to attend this training, which will take place online in the coming weeks.

We also encourage all members that have ideas about what form the training should take, organizations that PSAC can partner with, and what more our union can do to be anti-racist to contact the BC Regional Council. We want to hear from you.
