PSAC members working for the Corps of Commissionaires in BC have a new collective agreement

PSAC is happy to announce that a new collective agreement has been ratified by the members of Local 20500 who work for the Corps of Commissionaires, Victoria the Islands and Yukon.

The new contract, which expires in March 2022, contains significant wage increases over the three-year term, particularly for members at the lower end of the wage scale and for mobile patrol positions.

The new agreement also contains improvements to the boot and safety item allowances, improvements to the grievance procedures as outlined in the collective agreement, and a new trial project on standby and call out procedures. Language around gender identity and gender expression have been also added as prohibited grounds of discrimination.

The Commissionaires bargaining team, comprised of John Davies, David Schinbein, Nancy Sermons and Erna Post, would like to thank all the members for their support during this round of bargaining. Together we are stronger!

Approximately 400 members of PSAC Local 20500 work as Commissionaires on Vancouver Island and in Whitehorse, providing high-quality security services to the federal government as well as the private sector.
