Report of the PSAC B.C. Regional Conference for Racially Visible Members

On behalf of the Conference Organizing Committee, PSAC B.C. is pleased to share the report from the PSAC B.C. Regional Conference for Racially Visible Members, which was held in February 28, 29 and March 1 2020. Almost 50 PSAC members from across the province took part the conference, which was held under the theme "Building our Power for Change: Equity for All”.

The participants developed strategies to build partnerships, coalitions, and networks for advocacy; discussed ways to broaden the base of union activists from their communities; identified political priorities for PSAC racialized members; and contributed to the development of a PSAC policy to address systemic racism. We would like to congratulate the Organizing Committee who worked hard to make the conference a success and we encourage all the participants to build on the work that took place over the weekend by continuing to mobilize, network, and strategize around the important issues discussed over the course of the weekend.
