Building Our Young Worker Committees – Mobilizing and Planning session, December 7 & 8 2013 in Vancouver

We are happy to announce that PSAC-BC Region will be holding a Young Workers education/planning session for our members 30 years of age or younger Saturday, December 7, 2013 (12:00 p.m.–4:30 p.m.) to Sunday, December 8, 2013 (9:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m.) at the PSAC Vancouver Regional Office. We encourage PSAC Young Workers from across BC to apply.

We hope to provide a unique opportunity for you to meet other PSAC Young Workers, network, discuss issues you find important, attend an interactive workshop on mobilizing and building young worker committees and be part of the planning process for the upcoming year.

Objectives

  • To provide a unique opportunity to meet and network with other PSAC young workers;
  • To learn about what it means to be part of a union and the labour movement;
  • To discuss issues you find important through interactive workshops; and
  • To build the PSAC young worker movement and renew our Union legacy.

Please note that the application deadline is Friday, November 22, 2013 and spaces are limited. If accepted, participants from out of town may be covered for accommodation and travel.
