Public Service Alliance of Canada BC Region Endorses Irene Lanzinger for BC Fed President

The Public Service Alliance of Canada’s B.C. Regional Council voted earlier this week to endorse Irene Lanzinger in her bid to become the first woman to lead the BC Federation of Labour.

Bob Jackson, PSAC Regional Executive Vice-President for BC knows that Lanzinger is a proven leader, with the vision and credentials needed to preserve and enhance the BC Fed’s reputation as the voice for workers in BC.

“On behalf of the Council, and the Public Service Alliance of Canada B.C. Region, I'm happy to endorse Irene and I look forward to supporting her at the upcoming BC Fed Convention.” says Jackson.

“The Conservative government has cut billions of dollars from public services and thousands of jobs. Irene is an articulate, experienced leader who has been a huge asset in our fight to stop these cuts to federal public services.” continues Jackson. “As a former public sector worker and leader, Irene knows the value of quality public services and can speak directly to the impact their loss has on our communities.”

The Public Service Alliance of Canada B.C. Region represents 17,500 British Columbians working for the federal government and in the broader public sector.
