Donna Sheaves memorial scholarship

The Canadian Union of Public Employees Union, Local 402, has established, through the B.C. Federation of Labour, a Memorial Scholarship for a union woman to attend the "Women in Leadership" course at the Canadian Labour Congress Harrison Winter School. The Scholarship will cover the costs of tuition, shared accommodation and meals for this event. The Scholarship does not include wage loss.

Applicants must write a letter outlining their union activities and must briefly describe what they hope to learn from the school, and how the experience will assist them in their work in their union or in the broader labour movement. Applicants must also submit a letter of recommendation from their union (if you are interested in applying for this scholarship, please contact PSAC via email to REVP-BC@psac-afpc.com) and be available to attend the Women in Leadership course which is offered in week one, January 12 -17, 2020.

The DEADLINE for applications is December 1 2019. All applicants will be evaluated, and the Scholarship awarded by December 13, 2019. Please include a phone number so that you can be notified quickly of the decision.
