The Vancouver and District Area Council is hosting a Translink fare review listening session with the Metro Vancouver Alliance on Tuesday December 19th at the PSAC Vancouver Regional Office. We will have a light dinner at 5:30 with the listening session starting at 6:00.
Translink is in the process of collecting community and stakeholder feedback on upcoming changes to their fare structure. The Metro Vancouver Alliance is holding listening sessions to gather feedback and stories from its members to present to Translink.
What do you think about how and what you pay for transit? Are costs too high? Are zones annoying? Do you want options for family travel? What about paying different rates for off peak hours, or on less-used routes? Should Translink bring back the Employer Pass Program?
This is an excellent opportunity for us to bring forward ideas and have our concerns heard and presented in a meaningful way to Translink as they move through the fare review.
Please RSVP to Todd at twmsmith@gmail.com by Friday December 15th and please bring a friend if you can. All members are welcome to this session. Transit is something many of us rely on daily so let's make sure our voices are heard.
