Thanks to the support of CEIU & PSAC - a message from Kelly Sidhu

Kelly Sidhu, PSAC BC Regional Council Women's Coordinator asked us to post this message to members on her behalf.

Throughout the year, thanks to both PSAC BC and CEIU BC, as Regional Council Women's Co-ordinator, I have had the honour of working with some awesome people in the union movement and taken part in many events that promote member well being, health and gender equity in the workplace.

Some events that I have helped organise and or taken part in include un-naming the Harry Stevens Building and honouring the historic Komagatmaru event, Vancouver Pride, MP, and MLA lobbying, Murdered and Missing Indigenous Women and Girls Inquiry Presentation, Stroller Brigade Pushing for Affordable and accessible Universal Child Care, Women Deliver Event, PSAC BC Regional Women's Conference, Sisters In Spirit Lunch and Learn Documentary & Update, December 6th - Stop Gender Violence event.

I want to thank the women across BC for being engaged, working so hard and making our union stronger. A special shout out to the women's committees across BC that have given so much of their time to organise meetings, events and help members. I want to thank both PSAC BC and CEIU BC for your support and encouragement to recognise women's gender equity and call for action throughout the year.
