Information and support for PSAC members.

Women in leadership positions in PSAC BC have worked hard to create a COVID-19 and PSAC BC Women survey, which is designed to capture and document the current challenges facing women in our union during the pandemic. The information gathered by this survey will be used to support members and capture women’s perspectives. All those who participate in the survey will be entered in a draw to have $200 donated to a women’s rights organization in their name in their geographic area.

This Labour Day we not only recognize workers’ essential contributions during the pandemic, but also commit ourselves to a plan to move Forward Together and come out of this crisis even stronger.

In late April, WorkSafeBC’s Board of Directors directed the Policy, Regulation and Research Division to add COVID-19 (or potentially more broadly, coronaviruses or respiratory communicable diseases) to the list of diseases in Schedule 1 of the Workers Compensation Act on an expedited process.
