On March 10, Vancouver City Council will debate a motion proposing to make Vancouver a Blue Community: committing to recognize water and sanitation as human rights, ban or phase-out the sale of bottled water in municipal facilities and at municipal events, and promote publicly financed, owned and operated water and wastewater services.

The PSAC BC Regional Council recently passed a motion put forward by the PSAC BC Environment Committee endorsing the Council of Canadians campaign that calls on Canadians to pledge to not buy bottled water and to boycott Nestlé products.
