Claire Young is a Professor with the UBC Faculty of Law. She is the co-author of two books and author of numerous articles on tax law and policy.

Her research interests included feminist legal theory and sexuality and the law. She is also a member of the IRDC "Gender Budget Working Group" based in London, U.K.

In this presentation, Claire will describe current income tax and federal investment policies and how they largely disadvantage women. With clear and simple explanations, Claire will de-mystify the tax system, expose its biases, and offer ideas for a more equitable system that would benefit all Canadians.
