VDLC International Solidarity Night - Caravan from Ayotzinapa to Ottawa

On September 26, 2014 a group students from Ayotzinapa, Guerrero were attacked by police in the state of Guerrero, Mexico. While some escaped, 43 students were “disappeared” and presumed murdered. As part of a caravan to Canada to bring attention to this situation, the VDLC invites you to an international solidarity night.

Speakers:

  • Hilda Legideño Vargas, mother of Jorge Antonio Tizapa Legideño, one of the disappeared students from the Normal Raul Isidro Burgos
  • Jorge Luis Clemente Balbuena, a student survivor of the attack
  • Vidulfo Rosales Sierra, member of the Human Rights organization Tlachinollan and legal representative of the families of the 43 Ayotzinapa students.

The caravan will be in Vancouver April 11 to 18, 2015.
