Webinar, Nov 25: Calling for a National Action Plan on Gender-Based Violence

The statistics are shocking: gender-based violence is on the rise, including in the world of work.  It’s something a lot of people are silent about, but we need to talk.

November 25, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women is the start of 16 Days of Activism on Gender-Based Violence.

The Canadian Labour Congress is holding a webinar on Thursday, November 25 at 4 pm ET, hosted by CLC Secretary-Treasurer Marie Clarke-Waler, to talk about what a National Action Plan on Gender-Based Violence should look like and the work being done to make sure the government follows through. Free registration is available via Zoom.

It’s time for a National Action Plan that offers concrete measures and strategies, including strategies to end gender based violence at work. During this webinar, participants will speak to and hear from experts about what that really means.
