Join Women Against Violence Against Women and the community on December 6th to honour the 14 women at l'École Polytechnique de Montréal, who, in 1989, a gunman murdered because of their gender. The shocking impact of their deaths led Parliament to designate December 6 as a National Day of Remembrance. Thirty years later, the effects of this tragedy continue to be felt and women and all people of marginalized genders remain targets because of their gender.
