Local Affiliation to the BC Federation of Labour & the BC Federation of Labour Convention - Nov. 24-28, 2014

In advance of the upcoming BC Federation of Labour Convention this November, the REVP-B.C. Office is encouraging all locals who have not already affiliated to the BC Federation of Labour to do so. There is no cost for a Local to affiliate as monthly dues are paid by the PSAC nationally.

The process for affiliating a Local to the BC Federation of Labour is as follows:

• A Local must vote to affiliate to the BC Federation of Labour at a Local meeting.
• A copy of the Local meeting minutes with the positive affiliation vote then needs to be forwarded to the REVP-B.C. Office.
• The REVP-B.C. Office will then advise PSAC Membership of the vote.
• The PSAC will then contact the BC Federation of Labour and initiate payment for the Local's monthly dues.

As you may be aware the BC Federation of Labour's convention is scheduled for Monday, November 24 through Friday, November 28, 2014 in Vancouver. Locals affiliated with the BC Federation of Labour are eligible to send (a) delegate(s) to the Convention based on the Federation's delegate entitlement criteria.
