Political Action

Our union, along with concerned Canadians in communities across the country, has been working hard to save public services and protect jobs. We are all affected by cuts to services, and we must all take action to defend the public services PSAC members provide to Canadians.

This section contains news and information about PSAC's political action program in British Columbia. Visit the national website for background and more information on our campaigns.

At their meeting held over the weekend, the PSAC BC Regional Council joined many other groups in endorsing the campaign calling for the elimination of pay parking at BC hospitals. Pay parking brings relatively minimal funding into the medical system, but creates a barrier to accessing medical care and places unnecessary stress on patients and their loved ones. Members are encouraged to find out more and join the campaign by visiting www.hospitalpayparking.ca
