Position Title: Assistant to the REVP–B.C.

Employment Type: This is a part-time (60%) term position. The position will become a full-time term position (100%) as of February 2012 for a total of up to three years

Location: Vancouver Regional Office

Purpose of Position: This position is responsible for working with the Regional Executive Vice-President (REVP), by supporting the day to day work and assisting the REVP in responding to a wide range of requests.

As the Vancouver RO prepares to begin our renovation we find ourselves with a large quantity of office furniture and other assorted items that do not fit with the new floorplan and must be recycled or reused.

In May we had elections for the BC Regional Council. It is exciting to kick off the next three years for BC Women. In June, I was lucky enough to attend the Women’s World Conference in Ottawa. While in Ottawa all of the Regional Women’s Coordinators met for a day of planning with Andrea Cote, and Patty Ducharme.

The Public Service Alliance of Canada mourns the loss of NDP leader Jack Layton and sends its heartfelt condolences to his family and loved ones.
