PSAC members working at the Canadian Food Inspection Agency held a Bargaining Conference in the National Capital Region on October 2-4, 2018, in a preparation of a new round of bargaining. The current four-year collective agreement with the CFIA will expire at the end of December 2018.

The Public Service Alliance of Canada is applying for conciliation to the Minister of Labour to assign a federal conciliator to assist in reaching a tentative agreement for UCTE members working at NAV CANADA. Our members have been without a collective agreement for 278 days. This is unacceptable, and our members deserve better.

PSAC members working at Parks Canada Agency held a Bargaining Conference in the National Capital Region September 25 to 27, 2018, in a preparation of a new round of bargaining. The most recent four-year collective agreement with Parks Canada expired August 4, 2018

After lengthy negotiations and an arbitration process, PSAC has won a major victory for the Public Service Dental Care Plan, which will result in substantial improvements for your coverage. “The government dragged this process out by trying to get us to accept reduced coverage for our members,” said Chris Aylward, National President of the Public Service Alliance of Canada. “But our position has always been that our members deserve better, and I’m very pleased that the arbitration panel agreed with us.”

Friends, The planning and organizing work for an October 31st rally in downtown Vancouver will get underway soon. PSAC members will let the government know it's time to end the Phoenix disaster and negotiate a collective agreement that recognizes the value of our work and the importance of the services you provide to Canadians.

PSAC's Treasury Board bargaining teams, representing nearly 100,000 members in the PA, TC, SV and EB groups will be at the negotiating table the week of October 8 2018. Here are the highlights from the major demands put forward at the common issues bargaining table. Addressing phoenix: To prevent another tragedy like Phoenix from ever happening again, PSAC is demanding greater consultation with the union before any technological changes are put in place affecting members.

Musqueam Territory – Vancouver, British Columbia – The First Nations Health Authority (FNHA) and Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC) have celebrated the renewal of their collective agreement after several months of negotiations. The official signing ceremony to renew the FNHA PSAC collective agreement took place at the Musqueam Cultural Centre and included senior leadership and representatives from the FNHA and PSAC. All negotiations for the agreement took place on First Nations territory and incorporated Elders supporting the work with prayer, wisdom and input.
