PSAC negotiates wages and working conditions for employees in almost 150 Locals and in hundreds of workplaces in our region. See below for national and regional updates.

Specific regional bargaining updates

Your bargaining team is pleased to announce that we reached a tentative collective agreement with the FNHA on July 12th. Our next steps are to assemble a ratification kit and then to organize ratification meetings - which we anticipate will be held within weeks. Members will have an opportunity to review the kit and to ask the bargaining team questions prior to a ratification vote.

We have just received the arbitration award from Arbitrator Judi Korbin. While we are very disappointed that many of our main issues were not addressed in this award, there were some important gains. We also want to point out that not a single one of the IMP’s concessions were granted!

Collective bargaining with Treasury Board resumed this week and PSAC put forward its common proposals for all Treasury Board groups, which cover about 90,000 workers in the federal public service. The proposals focus on addressing the ongoing Phoenix fiasco, pushing back against precarious work, protecting the job security of our members and supporting women and families.

The bargaining teams met in Ottawa from June 12 to 14, 2018, in a last ditch effort to reach a collective agreement that addresses long standing concerns of our hard-working members across the country in both office and field units.

On June 20 and 21, PSAC bargaining teams from four federal public service bargaining groups will meet with Treasury Board negotiators to continue initial talks.
