PSAC members who work within Treasury Board, Parks Canada, the Canada Revenue Agency and the Canadian Food Inspection Agency, joined by colleagues in CAPE and PIPSC, took part in actions in cities across British Columbia on June 8th 2016.

VANCOUVER, June 8, 2016 /CNW/ - Public Service Alliance of Canada members who work within Treasury Board, Parks Canada, the Canada Revenue Agency and the Canadian Food Inspection Agency are taking part in actions in Vancouver, Victoria and cities across British Columbia today. Their aim is to send a clear message to the government that they expect a quick and fair approach to contract negotiations when the union and Treasury Board negotiators return to the bargaining table this month.

Approximately 30 workers at Victoria International Airport have a new collective agreement. Members of the Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC) / Union of Canadian Transportation Employees (UCTE) Local 20209 working at the airport voted Friday to ratify a tentative agreement reached last week. Highlights of the four-year contract, which expires in March 2020, include fair wage increases, an increase in standby pay and meal allowances, improvements to the benefits package, and the inclusion of the firefighters group in the contract language around shift premiums.
