About the awardsThe Power of Youth Leadership Awards recognize and celebrate young progressive leaders in BC who are driving change towards a more socially, economically and environmentally just society. The awards are open to progressive young leaders who are active in BC and are 32 and under as of December 31, 2013.

The BC Federation of Labour is currently seeking young worker facilitators from all over the province to facilitate the Labour Education Program delivered by the Employee Action & Rights Network (EARN). This program brings young union members into classrooms to talk about Employment Standards, unions, and the role unions play in society.

Well I definitely want to encourage you to come if you can, and our Young Worker Caucus wants to help support your attendance! We have some limited funds available to provide as a subsidy towards your costs to attending this Convention. How to apply? Due to unforeseen circumstance, the BC Mainland Young Workers Caucus AGM scheduled for tomorrow Wednesday, Feb. 19th will be rescheduled to Wednesday, March 26th, at 5:30pm. Location is still at the PSAC Vancouver Regional Office. More details to follow.
