On the Trans Day of Remembrance, November 20th, PSAC commemorates the trans, two-spirit and non-binary people who have lost their lives to transphobic violence. We also honour those who continue to face violence and discrimination as they work for more just and inclusive communities.

Municipalities are starting to add their voices to the growing opposition to the idea of selling Canada’s airports. Opposition to the move has already been voiced by the cities of Vancouver, Victoria, and Richmond, BC, while Calgary’s mayor has publicly spoken out against the plan. Toronto City Council is considering a motion to oppose the plan as well.  

It's that time of year again! The 2018 PSAC calendars have arrived in the Regional Offices - contact your Local Executive or your PSAC Regional Office if you would like some for your worksite.

Dave Jackson,  PSAC Regional Representative in the Victoria Regional Office, announced recently that he is retiring after a long and successful career with the PSAC. Dave will officially be retiring in January 2018.

In our last update we told you that IMP dragged its feet for months and months and the Arbitrator had no other choice but to order the employer to an arbitration at the end of February. Several weeks later, IMP informed us that its representatives were not available at that time.
