PSAC joins the rest of Canada this February in recognizing and celebrating Black history, as well as the important contributions women and men from Black communities have made to our country.

We also encourage members to learn about, organize or participate in events in their workplaces and communities that raise the awareness of Black History Month.

Per section 9 of the PSAC BC Regional Bylaws, we will be holding an election for a delegate to represent Directly Chartered Locals and Separate Employer Units (who are not entitled to an automatic delegate) at the upcoming PSAC BC Regional Convention.

On Friday, February 24, PSAC will mark the first anniversary of Phoenix.

We want to continue to draw attention to the Phoenix pay system and its problems and send a strong message to the Prime Minister and MPs that our members have been waiting for too long; fix the Phoenix pay problems and learn from your mistakes!

Here are some ideas for how PSAC members can send a strong message to the government and our employers on February 24th.

We sat down with some of our members under thirty-five and asked them about our union, how they got involved, and what being a union activist means to them. Here's what they had to say.
