Updates

As more than 140,000 PSAC members are still without new contracts or fair compensation for the Phoenix pay system disaster, the union has launched an ad campaign targeting the Prime Minister and new Treasury Board president, Jean-Yves Duclos.

The Labour Board has set March 30 and 31, 2020, for the Public Interest Commission (PIC) hearing.  

PSAC had initially filed for a PIC in August, after talks with the CFIA reached impasse, but the employer responded by asking the Board to delay its creation. The Board considered this request but rejected it in late September.

Community Savings Credit Union is offering scholarships to assist union members in attending the 2020 Canadian Labour Congress Harrison Winter School.

CSCU are pleased to solicit applications from BC CLC Affiliates for two deserving members in the following fields of study:

  • Human Rights: An Introduction Week 2: January 19 – 24, 2020
  • Young Workers in Action Week 5: February 9 – 14, 2020

The scholarship will cover the costs of tuition, single accommodation and meals for each course.

PSAC is happy to announce that a new collective agreement has been ratified by the members of Local 20500 who work for the Corps of Commissionaires, Victoria the Islands and Yukon.

The new contract, which expires in March 2022, contains significant wage increases over the three-year term, particularly for members at the lower end of the wage scale and for mobile patrol positions.
