The Canadian Union of Public Employees Union, Local 402, has established, through the B.C. Federation of Labour, a Memorial Scholarship for a union woman to attend the "Women in Leadership" course at the Canadian Labour Congress Harrison Winter School. The Scholarship will cover the costs of tuition, shared accommodation and meals for this event. The Scholarship does not include wage loss.

Recent changes to employment standards in BC provide job-protected, unpaid leave for people who need time away from work after facing domestic or sexual violence. Before, people escaping, recovering or rebuilding their lives had no ability to take time from their jobs to find the solutions needed to make life safer for themselves and their families unless their employer agreed to the leave.

Members, particularly those who work for the Government of Canada, have asked us if they can share PSAC’s PSAC votes 2019 campaign material through social media.
