The PSAC Social Justice Fund invites your members to participate in the next “Education In Action” project in Guatemala for 2 weeks in spring 2020.

Education In Action is supported by the PSAC Social Justice Fund to engage members and other Canadians to deepen their understanding of Guatemala and to build solidarity with Mayan communities in Guatemala.

The Liberal government has squandered one last pre-election opportunity to deliver a fair deal at the bargaining table for PSAC members, as well as to provide proper compensation for damages caused by the Phoenix pay system.

The Local 20500 bargaining team, representing 400 PSAC members employed by the Commissionaires Victoria, the Islands and Yukon, met with the employer the week of August 25 and again the week of September 2 in Victoria.

The team was pleased to see that there was a distinct change in tone and in the approach to bargaining, largely due to the fact that the employer made adjustments to their team since the last meeting in July.

The Public Service Alliance of Canada is committed to ensuring that all members with disabilities are able to effectively participate in order to contribute to the organization’s mandate.

In this regard, the PSAC recognizes that accessibility is an essential requirement for the participation of members with environmental disabilities.

PSAC BC is very pleased to announce that Deanna Kimball is the successful candidate in the recent Regional Education Officer (REO) BC competition.

Deanna has been a PSAC Regional Representative since 2009 and has extensive experience in facilitation and knowledge of the PSAC Education programs.

Prior to working for the PSAC, Deanna was a member of the Union of National Defense Employees and was active in her Local in Winnipeg.

Deanna’s start date in the REO position will be September 16, 2019. Congratulations Deanna!
