The Public Service Alliance of Canada applauds the BC government for making long overdue changes to British Columbia’s Employment Standards Act and the BC Labour Code that will make a real, positive difference to workers and their families across the province.

The BC government is undertaking a formal and independent review of the workers' compensation system. This review will provide recommendations back to government on ways to improve the current system to better support injured workers and to increase the confidence of workers and employers in the system. The review is being led by retired labour lawyer Janet Patterson, who was appointed in April 2019.
