PSAC negotiates wages and working conditions for employees in almost 150 Locals and in hundreds of workplaces in our region. See below for national and regional updates.

The Public Service Alliance of Canada opened negotiations with the Canadian Food Inspection Agency with an exchange of bargaining proposals between the parties on November 10, 2011.
Parks Bargaining: Parks Canada to PSAC: enough about you, let's talk about me

On Wednesday Nov 23, 2011, Parks Canada came to the table with a revised set of proposals. The package contained all their outstanding issues - including their monetary package - but none of our member’s issues.
FB Bargaining update: Parties discuss allowances, rights for part-timers and scheduling

The FB bargaining team met with Treasury Board and CBSA representatives in Ottawa the week of November 14, 2011 to continue negotiations for a new contract.

New at the 2012 PSAC Convention: A Members’ Plan

Every three years, the PSAC holds its Triennial National Convention, where delegates from across the union come together, debate issues and set direction for the Union for the next three years.We will be doing something new at the PSAC 2012 Convention: for the first time, delegates will have the opportunity to debate and adopt a “Members’ Plan”.The plan is designed to set the direction for the Union for the next three years.

FB bargaining update: Parties in Dispute over Pension Commitment Proposal

Bargaining Team continues to demand parity with other federal enforcement workers.Our FB bargaining team met with Treasury Board and CBSA representatives in Ottawa the week of October 3rd to continue negotiations for a new contract. Talks over the course of the four days focussed on our proposals concerning pension reform, VSSA and non-VSSA scheduling, seniority rights and severance.
