It’s that time of year again: summer has turned to fall and the United Way’s Workplace Charitable Campaigns have begun.

I have been involved with and am particularly proud of the Government of Canada Workplace Charitable Campaign. The GCWCC is the largest workplace charitable campaign in Canada and is also one of the most successful, thanks to the generosity of the thousands of union members who work in the federal public service.

Our bargaining team resumed bargaining with SSO during the week of Sept. 11. The team started the week in caucus, where we continued to work on our proposals on hours of work and job security.

Many thanks to Warren Wulff, West Fraser Valley Area Council Education Coordinator, for putting together a list of upcoming labour, indigenous and environmental documentaries at the Vancouver International Film Fest that PSAC members might be interested in. Scroll Down!

Machines

Our bargaining team will resume negotiations with the employer in Ottawa from September 19 to 22. The Union Team is committed to reaching a fair renewal of the collective agreement and we hope the employer is prepared to resolve all outstanding issues.

The 18th National Triennial Convention of the  Public Service Alliance of Canada will be held at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, North Building in Toronto, Ontario beginning Sunday, April 29, 2018, at 2:30 pm. and concluding Friday, May 4 at 12:00 pm
