Voting Period The electronic vote will open on January 22, 2018 and close on February 22, 2018 at 12 noon EST. PSAC’s tentative agreement with Canada Post will only take effect if it is ratified in a vote by our members. Voting takes place at a meeting, after a presentation and an opportunity for members to ask questions. Every member covered by these agreements has a right to vote in the ratification process, however you must be a PSAC member in good standing to cast a vote. PSAC has scheduled training for pay advocates, normally local officers or stewards, that have been assisting members with Phoenix issues. This training will provide information and training on tools specifically for assisting those with pay issues.  It will also provide information on our key objectives in pressuring the government to address and resolve Phoenix.  Objectives of the 1-day course include

The PSAC Vancouver Regional Women’s Committee encourages all of our members to take part in March On Vancouver on January 20th in support of equality, diversity, and inclusion. The march will begin at Jack Poole Plaza at 10AM and takes place on the unceded Coast Salish Territories xʷməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and Səl̓ílwətaʔ (Tsleil-Waututh).

PSAC members, along with the New Westminster & District Labour Council and the Kwantlen Students Association, helped organize a candlelight vigil at Holland Park on December 6th, the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women. PSAC members rallied at Harbour Centre in Vancouver on December 13 2017, calling on the government to take the measures necessary to ensure workers are paid correctly and on time. Members sang a few Christmas Carols (Jingle bells, Phoenix smells!) and heard from members who have been directly affected by problems with the pay system.
