PSAC negotiates wages and working conditions for employees in almost 150 Locals and in hundreds of workplaces in our region. See below for national and regional updates.

Specific regional bargaining updates

PSAC is taking swift action in response to Treasury Board’s admission that it will not be meeting the implementation deadline for the PA, SV, TC and EB collective agreements. On behalf of the over 100,000 workers covered by these agreements, PSAC will file a complaint with the federal Public Service Labour Relations and Employment Board

PSAC is happy to announce that a new collective agreement has been ratified by members of UNE Local 20378 working for Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation at Granville Island. The new contract, which expires in March 2020 includes a wage increase, an increase to the shift premiums, better vacation and bereavement leave language, and improvements to the uniform and  protective clothing issue.

Our bargaining team met with the employer in Ottawa from October 16 to 20, 2017. The parties had productive discussions on all outstanding issues. Although no agreement was reached this week, we remain optimistic that a negotiated settlement could be reached when we are back at the bargaining table November 6-10, 2017.

Our PSAC bargaining team began negotiations with the First Nation Health Authority team this week. We have tabled our proposals to the Employer (see PDF below). We also had the chance to meet with members at the Alberni and Sinclair Centre worksites and are holding a conference call for other DCL 22000 members from other sites today at 5PM to provide a bargaining update. We will let you know as soon as we have confirmed the next set of bargaining dates with the Employer.
