Specific regional bargaining updates

October 2, 2017 - 10:39am •
Our bargaining team met with Parks Canada during the week of September 18th, 2017. The employer tabled what they characterized as a comprehensive offer, which the team recognized fell short in addressing all of the outstanding compensation issues.
October 2, 2017 - 10:38am •
Our PSAC bargaining team and management at Canada Post were back at the negotiations table in Ottawa from September 27 to 29, 2017. Our PSAC bargaining team met in caucus for two days and reviewed in detail the global offer that Canada Post tabled on August 9, 2017. Our team fully considered the employer’s offer and prepared a counter-proposal which we tabled on September 27.  Both parties met and discussed a number of outstanding issues.
September 28, 2017 - 3:50pm •
In March the union and the employer selected Arbitrator Judi Korbin to settle our collective agreement, which expired June 30, 2015. We have been working for the past seven months to schedule arbitration dates! Finally, after IMP dragged its feet for months and months, the Arbitrator had no other choice but to order the employer to an arbitration at the end of February. It’s shameful that the employer doesn’t respect us enough as employees to agree to arbitration dates in a timely manner.
September 25, 2017 - 11:40am •
Our bargaining team met with the employer in Ottawa from September 19 to 22, 2017. Although progress is slow, the parties worked hard this week on all outstanding issues at the table and agreed to focus on priority areas. We are encouraged by the fact that the Employer removed the serious concessions that had been previously tabled under “Agency Transformation / Building For the Future”.
September 20, 2017 - 11:04am •
Our bargaining team resumed bargaining with SSO during the week of Sept. 11. The team started the week in caucus, where we continued to work on our proposals on hours of work and job security.
September 15, 2017 - 1:35pm •
Our bargaining team will resume negotiations with the employer in Ottawa from September 19 to 22. The Union Team is committed to reaching a fair renewal of the collective agreement and we hope the employer is prepared to resolve all outstanding issues.
August 11, 2017 - 1:44pm •
Our PSAC/UTE Bargaining Team met with the Canada Revenue Agency on May 3 and 4 to discuss wage increases for 2014 and 2015, consistent with our collective agreement signed last year. Unfortunately we were unable to reach an agreement over the two days and therefore proceeded to next step under our contract and the law – to discuss and agree upon an arbitration process
August 8, 2017 - 10:45am •
In negotiations, our PSAC/CIU bargaining team for the FB group has made proposals to Treasury Board and the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) concerning shift work, scheduling and part-time work.
