After massive worldwide women’s marches last weekend that saw people coming together to loudly and boldly demand a future free of violence towards women – activists around the world are heightening their calls and escalating their actions on (and around) 14 February – the One Billion Rising global day of action.

Surrey - The Public Service Alliance of Canada is sponsoring a candlelight vigil at Holland Park in Surrey on December 6th, the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women in Canada.

The CCABC $10/day Childcare Plan offers a concrete, innovative ‘made in BC’ solution to the child care crisis facing families with young children. Across British Columbia, supporters of this $10 a Day Plan are working to ensure that child care is a central issue for governments. The Vancouver Regional Women’s Committee is proud to support the work of Dress for Success, a community empowering women into the workforce by providing them with professional attire, career services, and skills development programs. Dress for Success Vancouver are hosting a fundraising luncheon, and the Vancouver Regional Women's Committee is sponsoring two half-price tickets to this event. The cost to PSAC members would be $50, members will also receive a charitable tax receipt for $50.
