Women in leadership positions in PSAC BC have worked hard to create a COVID-19 and PSAC BC Women survey, which is designed to capture and document the current challenges facing women in our union during the pandemic. The information gathered by this survey will be used to support members and capture women’s perspectives. All those who participate in the survey will be entered in a draw to have $200 donated to a women’s rights organization in their name in their geographic area.

Throughout the year, thanks to both PSAC BC and CEIU BC, as Regional Council Women's Co-ordinator, I have had the honour of working with some awesome people in the union movement and taken part in many events that promote member well being, health and gender equity in the workplace.

On December 6 labour leaders, union members and community will gather at 6:00pm in Holland Park in Surrey to mark the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence against Women and the 30th anniversary of the December 6 massacre of fourteen students at École Polytechnique in Montreal.
