After more than two years of protracted and often difficult negotiations, the TC Bargaining Team has reached a tentative agreement with Treasury Board.

The Memorandum of Settlement was signed at 4:20 AM on August 1st, after a marathon 18-hour bargaining session.

If ratified by the membership, the new Collective Agreement will be retroactive to June 22, 2011, and will expire on June 21, 2014.

PSAC is calling on the Canadian Food Inspection Agency to return to the bargaining table, after the Public Interest Commission (PIC) tabled its recommendations last week.

“The PIC report amply demonstrates that many of the demands of our bargaining team are justified,” said Chris Aylward, National Executive Vice-President of PSAC.

PSAC is happy to announce that a new Collective Agreement has been ratified by members of UPCE Local 20095, working at Purolator Inc.

Highlights of the new contract, which expires in December 2017 include:

  • Wage increases of 3,3,3,3 and 4% over 5 years
  • Improvements to pension, vision, and dental benefits
  • Enhanced coverage for LTD

Vancouver- Approximately 70 workers who fuel jet aircraft at Vancouver Airport have a new collective agreement.

Members of the Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC) / Union of Canadian Transportation Employees (UCTE) Local 20221 working at GlobeGround Fuel Services voted Tuesday to ratify a tentative agreement reached last week.

The three-year contract, which expires in November 2015, provides wage and shift premium increases as well as improvements to the language around hours of work, overtime, seniority, and staffing.

A reminder regarding Regulation 5 of the PSAC Constitution, which defines the rights and responsibilities of  members who are temporarily away on leave without pay. In order to remain a member in good standing members must advise the PSAC Natinonal President. A template letter is available for download below.
